Not just a parent

As much as I LOVE my little beauties, tonight I got to leave the house for only the second time this year with none of the following things…
children

nappies

baby wipes

Sophie le giraffe

Bibs

Anbesol

Anything else I’ve forgotten.

No one needed me.

No one was touching me.

I got to be an actual human being and not just a parent for two hours and it was bloody marvellous. Thanks to my lovely friend Catherine 😘

I got home to a shouty welcome from Bobbi, who had decided she was going to starve to death, Nina sat watching Paw Patrol like a defiant little boss after refusing point blank to go to bed and a Dan who was very close to pulling his hair out and crying.

The best kind of bedlam. It’s nice to feel free but it’s also lovely to feel needed ❤️
